First off does it do with the FOB out of range away from the car a good 30ft. If the hatch keep's popping I would go thru the car and make sure all the other releases are not jammed or have a pair of sun Glasses pushing the button in the console.

Make sure also that the button on the FOB is not jammed in causing the hatch to activate.
The worst scenario is the PKE receiver is bad. There is a relay in it and it activates the solenoid for the hatch. If the electronics in the PKE module go bad and cause that relay to close, the hatch pops open. Only repair is to replace the PKE module.

Yup, this happen to me and had to replace the PKE module, got a used one on ebay, been fine since. Changing it out isn't too bad of a job, but unfortunately does require take the dash apart.
