Default gasket set recommendation?

Any recommendations on a gasket set? I saw these ads from the "Parts Dinosaur" on Ebay. He advertises an ROL set and a Felpro set, saying if you want to pay for Felpro then I have it, but ROL is just as good.

I haven't decided whether I'm going to pull the heads yet. Right now I am just planning on cleaning up the engine compartment a little ... refinishing the valve covers and TPI, but figured I would change the gaskets while I'm in there.

Thanks.

Whenever I hear "just as good . . .", I cough twice and pass.

There are those who have had good experiences with lots of different brands of gaskets and others who have had problems with the same brands- go figure.

I'm a FelPro fan from way back, but even with them, I never buy "gasket sets". Sets seem always to contain some gaskets I don't need or some gaskets that are not top of the line.

Sure, you may save a few $$ buying a set, but what's it worth to you to have to change a leaking gasket a few months down the road.

I always individualy select the gaskets and pick the ones I feel are the best for the specific job. In other words, take valve cover gaskets for example, there are many much better valve cover gaskets than the ones that come in the set. Same with oil pan and intake, etc.

Just my thoughts.
