I need to find a spare Memcal/Calpak so I can have a custom chip burned.
Does anyone have one that they would sell me?
Here is a picture of the stock chip in my 87. Do I have to get one with the same "abtf" code? Any tips/pointers will also be appreciated. Thanks!
I have been going through the same thing but found some part #'s.I believe the part # for your 87 EPROM is: 16070733
This is for an 87, A-Trans, 3.07 rear
Try GMpartsdirect.com, I plugged in the number and it came up around 30 bucks.
HTH, Mark
Thanks for the tip!
Still would like to find a used one if possible.
BTW, Nice looking motor! :cool: Have you ever ran it in the 1/4 mile?

Did last night, new to drag racing so my Reaction Time is slow and I'm on street tires;
GM P# for an 87 Vette MemCal 16070312
The EPROM does not have to match, by the MemCal needs to be correct for the engine/trans combo. There is a ResPack that tells the ECM what engine/trans/rear gears it is working with.
Just don't expect to us a V6 MemCal in a V8 application. All bets are off that it will not show a problem.
