I pulled my column today which was probably the worst thing I've done on a car.
So I'm looking for a manual column and I can only find auto columns.
What is the difference and can I convert one using mine?
I thought the wheel was loose but it was the upper bearing. I'm not sure if it was missing pieces like a race or what but that's where all the slop was coming from
What is actually the reason you disassembled the column? The bearings for the upper housing are "on the shelf" items at most dealers.
Looking at the cluster this is likely a '90 - '93 column and I have I believe enough to repair it, regardless of problem. I do believe I've also an assembled M6 column but I'd need to look. If I have a M6 column it would have the key.
You might very well need more than just the bearing kit and since it's apart you could likely check. If you don't have tilt issues I'd repair what you've got. If you needed parts I'm quite sure I have all. There's many that have done the column builds, since yours is apart I'd start at the bottom and do all of it, lower bearing/bushing all the way to and including the upper bearings and races.
