Do you already clean your radiator ?
A water hose is useful

I flushed my coolant early this year and found an issue that I was surprised didn't give me high temps.

First I took the black tank at the top and the clear tank from the bottom completely out of the car. The black tank had a lot of junk I flushed with a hose. I'd basically fill it, shake it and drain it. Probably like 20 times until orange sludge stopped coming out.

The clear tank has a thin line going to it. The part of the tank the line connected to and the line itself was completely clogged. It was basically a super fine sand like sludge. This crapped resisted 100 psi of compressed air for a bit until it finally blew out.

After you have done the flush and fill process, you will need to check your air flow. C4s are especially vulnerable to junk making its way in between the AC condenser and the radiator. This will REALLY cut down on your air flow and make your car run hot.

Here is what I found when I popped the shroud off my (new to me) 89 last weekend. I was doing some PM and found this:

Whats too hot? These cars run pretty hot as it is, so it's hard to say if something is wrong without letting us know what the temperature is.

And also after what period of time does it get "to hot" and want is the ambient air temperature when it happens.

His only other post is also asking this same question.

Need answers to some of the questions on this and the other thread before going any farther.
