First off im new here and ive been a mustang guy for years..I bought a 84 vette with a few problems..Here is whats going on..Two main things i need help with..Neither of The IACs are functioning..I replaced one of them with a new AC Delco but made know difference..I set plunger to 1.125 but it doesnt move at all..Checked continuity between both IAC connecters and that was good..Question is do the IACs only work in series so if one is bad will that stop both from functioning.?..Second question is my TPS shows 3-4 volts all the time..I tried adjusting to .54 volts off two top wires but voltage will not budge..Any thoughts on this??
Your IAC problem is the IAC relays. They are located behind the battery. As the battery out gasses it destroys the relays. Trust me, I have been down this road. Good luck.
Im having a problem finding anything list about iac relays and the only thing i come across behind my battery is a large connector i assume if for the dash..
thanx
The ECM resets the IAC every time you turn on the ignition. You don't have to "set" it to anything. I always push the plunger in as far as it will go. The only thing to watch for is to not leave the plunger sticking out too far. If you do that the plunger guide will get broken when the IAC is screwed in.

That would happen if the ground is missing. That could be caused by a corroded connector pin or broken wire. Sometimes the wire breaks inside the insulation so you can't see. Use a volt/ohm/milliammeter to measure the wires to make sure they are making a connection.
