As the thread kinda states...'back in the day' this car was one that if you saw it. You knew someone was really SERIOUS about having a Corvette that had power.
The Callaway Twin turbo option cost $19,995.00 above the cost of the car itself.
I had the pleasure of having one come into my shop and it has only taken over 30 years for it to happen but it still was a bit awesome to see it in person.
This is a really rare one due to it is ONE of 65 cars due to it being a convertible.
I can say that they packed it in there. I did not raise the car up to get photos of the turbos....but when I got on the ground and looked...I swear it would be NO PARTY in attempting to do anything on this car. in the engine compartment.

I had the pleasure on many occasions to work on Calloway's You got Love when the boost comes in. I once took a friend for a ride I put a $5.00 bill on the center of the windshield and to him if you can reach it with out pushing with your hands on the seat you can have it. well I still had Beer money
love seeing pics of these classics. These were the cars that were on my wall and i sure appereciate seeing them now!
Was this car in for a routine servicing? a new owner asking you to go through the car?
thx!
Minor repairs...nothing major. The typical stuff that goes bad on these cars....the outer window sealing strips getting hard and cracking and the headlight motors acting up.

PLEASE do not make this thread start in a battle over OIL VISCOSITY! This forum is FULL OF THAT!!! FIND that thread and comment on it all you want.
I will get the moderators involved and have them delete posts....in a heartbeat.
Enjoy the photos for what they are if they interest you.
Cool... if it were mine, I would have some serious scrubbing to do under the hood....
I agree...a slight detailing under the hood would help it for those who have to have it like that. Honestly it is not that bad in person and would not take all that much to make it look a lot better. Depending on if a person wants to be able to eat off the engine or not.
I would like to buy a Twin Turbo setup like that. It fits well. It looks natural on the car.
Never be as fast as a Callaway because their car is more than just a turbo and the hardware. It's a tune. It's a hand assemble. Etc. It's the complete package and it is designed to work together.
But I would still be interested in a turbo kit like that. I just like it.

With all the engineering and design that did go into it, I wonder why they kept the same intake plenum and runners? If we are trying to shove more air in it seems a good restriction to remove based on their limitations.

They were limited by GM throughout the design. The original idea was to face the intercoolers vertically and cut holes in the hood and have the hot air vent much like a C7 radiator. GM said no.
Callaway did design another intake package that could be purchased an upped the hp by 100+. It was a supplement package not ordered at the dealer.
Remember, Callaway had to provide a full warranty on these cars. Thus the tune was very conservative.
I took my 88 b2k and had it dyno tuned. After cutting the cats off, it made 406rwhp/536rwtq thru the stock mufflers and factory single center pipe which is 2.25".
