Great build. It makes me miss my '82 XFire.

Thank you Mike. Love C3s, even though I'm looking for a ZR1 to add to the stable.

Now that is something I'm looking forward to seeing.

After seeing what you can do with an XFire, I can only image what you can do to an LT5!

Thank you, but I should have specified which ZR. I'm looking for either a 2012 or 2013 ZR1. I'm very picky on what I'm looking for as well, mileage, color and trim package. I figure since I'll be paying a fair amount still for the car, I want what I want and it also has to be unmolested.

The C6 ZR1 are very nice cars, hopefully you find a decent one. Post the pics when you get one.

I want a late C6 Z06 LS7 manual car myself. Hopefully one day I can get one. You can never own too many corvettes

That was a fantastic story. Thanks for the relevant contribution!

Buc, Nice to see you doing a refresh/upgrade. Should be wicked.

Sorry John that you had a bad experience with your 82, it happens.

Thanks Tom and the new motor sounds good and runs pretty good considering the tune is off along with the correct FP. I was a bit surprised when I stuck my foot into it the other day and let it shift at 6K. factor was high.

I did have an issue with the idle for some odd reason only to find that my rear TB IAC was bad. Replaced IAC and running fine again.

Still waiting for HPC to get back with me on dyno time.

Very cool. I dig it.

Funny when a mundane part "bites you" like the IAC...especially when you into a new motor/tune/experience, etc. Well....maybe not that funny, but you know what I mean.

Finally got the car scheduled for the dyno in Lake Havasu this week. Leaving Wed and wont be back until weekend. Thought I'd just stay in Havasu for a few days since the temps will be under 100*.

I have a couple last minute things I want to do to the motor before leaving, but it's ready to go really. Hoping to get some good numbers out of this motor, but we'll see how well we can strap it down on the twin rollers, that was an issue the last time since the car sits so low. I have 100 miles on the motor now and it does run strong even with the old tune. When it down shifts into second from around 60-65mph, it's crazy fast, much more than it used to be for sure.
