Hi all, I have searched the web and looked in the fsm but can't seem to find a definitive answer, I probabaly over looked it but here goes. What is the normal op temp range for a 95 corvette 4l60e transmission. I changed my fluid and filter last week and honestly, I don't remember the last time I looked at the trans temp on the dash readout before that. Thanks for any help and insight.

My 700r4 which is essentially the same as a 4L60 will run 150 to 160 on the highway at light cruise. Heats up fast when you beat the crap out of it, but haven't seen temps above 180 even when sitting in traffic.

I run a 180 t stat with cooling fans set to come on at 190 and off at 185. If you run an aftermarket converter with a high stall speed it will make a lot more heat.
