Default speed sensor

Ok I have my service engine light on and its reading its because the speed sensor is bad well they have discontinued that part so has this happened to anyone else and if so how did they fix it? Thank you for your time

Its a L98 with automatic trans 1985

..... Try Corvette Salvage yards or your favorite auction site ... if you have a part # you might be able to find an NOS part ... let Google be your friend .....

I have some - there are two - auto & manual - best I remember. Post pic ??? Happy to sell you what I have !!! greg

The early with a "center" electrical Weather-Pack there are 2. They're generally black or white but all should be marked either 35 - 39 or 40 - 45. Which do you have?

its the white one. I didn't know there was 2 so I bought the black one but that's the wheel sensor im in need of the white one and of course that one is discontinued.

Needing "white" hints the car is either a 4+3 or if an A4 it's a 3.07 rear axle. Which? If you've removed yours what did you find for a gear color and tooth count on your gear.
