I'm about to send my instrument cluster to Batee and the AC/Heater control box. Last owner disconnected the heater system but I need the AC working properly and all the levels of it. some buttons do nothing

It's 6 speed Manuel
Can the car be driven OK with both of those removed ?
Thanks

Yeah, you can BUT... you are taking chances on multiple levels. You will have lots of random loose connections flopping about as your drive and a small pot hole and an errant grounding could fry out your ECM. Remote, but is it worth it?

I just (like a couple of weeks ago) had my Climate Control Control unit for my 89 re built by BATEE. Brian spun the whole process very quickly and did a great job-- like one week door to door.

If you are REALLY in a hurry, call him and pay extra for over night shipping to and from and a rush.

I understand not liking to have any down time on the car, but the risk reward of driving while having missing some big components is really not worth it.

If you need to have a reason NOT to drive, start a project while your car is "down" that will not allow you to drive it. Re do the the brakes or clean out area between the radiator and condenser. Now you are giving yourself a reason.

The risk/reward is not advisable.

If you are going to do that, I would say that you should put electrical tape on all the plugs so nothing can come into contact with metal if you want to be absolutely sure. Highly remote and you'd probably have better chance at a lottery than a pointed piece of metal, the size of a pin that is grounded sticking into one of those small holes.
