The tinted targa that came with my 93 is toast. Apparently the glue worked its way loose. I noticed a little air coming in while going down the road on the passenger side this morning. I made a note the check the bolt when I could get out of traffic. Bad mistake. The thing detached and flew off. I pulled over to retrieve it, but it was in pieces. Where is a good place to get another. Solid or see thru, it doesn't matter. I suppose I can replace the Plexiglas, or get a new unit (good used would work). With winter fast approaching, I need to find a good cheap source. Any ideas?
THANKS
no such thing as a cheap replacement but you might post a wanted ad in the c4 buy sell. getting used unit to match your year (three versions) is "cheapest".

Ecklers is one, just replaced mine and they use Melrose tops. They recondition GM tops and the top is great. Or try your local glass place, mine said that they put tempered glass in instead of plexi.

You found a local glass place that could glue new glass on?
I bought a replacement top, like $1300 new.
Then you gotta spent 2 hours adjusting it for the fit..
I wonder how difficult it is to get it aligned properly.
I re-glued my acrylic top about 10 years ago, and it's doing fine. I've posted the procedure I used several times on this Forum, but the moderators keep throwing out "old" posts, so it's hard to find good info using the Search function. Here's a link to one of the threads from 9-30-2013:
My top has had a crack in it for many years to I switched over to the fiberglass painted top. I am considering sunroof doctor to fix my glass. top, Have not used them yet - just thought I would mention you could look into that company too.
I did this when it was only $249.00. They used my frame and let me drop my old one off and pick out the lense that I wanted. I never did see the blemish that they pointed out and still can't see it now. Their instructions for remounting the roof are easily done and I couldn't be happier with their quality.
