Yeah I feel someone needs the actual file to see whats going on. I checked for vacuum leaks awhile back, the only thing that was suspect was the line from the brake pedal to the cruise control, I replaced that and the other line on the cruise control. I sprayed everything down with carb cleaner and idle didn't change once.
I have replaced the AIC, AIT, TPS(which had a flat spot when tested), EGR, PCV, fuel filter, pulsator, fuel pump. I think that's is, that is related anyways. I deleted the air injection but this problem has been there before I did that.
You can do that. Get the engine to stable operating temp and shut everything but the motor off. See what the IAC count is. If it is over 20, turn the adjustment screw in since you want to open the throttle blades more. Rev motor and see what it settles down to. If it is under 20 it means the ECM sees too much air so turn the screw out, rev and retest.
This is the important part. If you turned the adjustment screw all the way out and it is still too low or at 0, you have air coming in somewhere. That means you have a leak. Now you get to go find it.
Note, this is all assuming that your timing is at 6 degrees and your plug wires are not leaking. If both are not true, all bets are off.

Will try that next weekend. New plugs and wires recently, and added the fireproof sleeves because my previous wires cracked after just a few years. Not sure about the timing, or even how to adjust that on an optispark to be honest. I will check the FSM. Thanks!

DOH! Forgot about that on the optispark. Scratch that part.
