Intermittent Cruise Control
Well, at least now it is intermittent. For the first and only time ever, my cruise worked last night on the highway until I turned it off. It never would reset and had never worked before. It's an '89. While it was on, it was very smooth with no surging. Also while it worked, I tilted the steering column up and down and tugged on the harness a bit to see if I had a bad harness to the switch- no changes. (In my truck, the harness to the switch was chewed up from the tilt action of the column.) Does this soun like it would be electrical or vacuum related? I'll try checking the vacuum lines and the tee near the distributor. I already checkede the switches at the brake pedal and they seem to be properly adjusted. Any ideas?

It worked again several times today. I think it may be that the switch in the lever is corroded or loose. If I press the set button really hard, it seems to work. I'll just replace the stalk. Been there, done that in my truck.
