$12 on Ebay.

Our local locksmith doesn't want to be bothered with them.

I got the lady at Home Depot to cut it for free. Since you don't have a receipt you can't bring it back.

So my door key has an H on the key shank. Am i right in assuming this to be a B45 "H" key?

Based on other posts, I'm assuming you are talking about a 96.

So an H key is correct.

You could order both from Ecklers. They have them in stock. But they cost a little more and then there is shipping.

I just had extras made at the local locksmith. $14/key and they matched the door key to the ones they cut. Originals went to the house and I use the aftermarkets.

When I took they key in, they saw what it was and everyone who worked there picked a number and put a dollar up. The guy who guessed right got the $7 and had to pick up donuts the next day....Guess it is a tradition for them

It was at lest amusing....

Default Weird reading

So i checked the chip in my other 96. Same meter. Same setting. When it finaly settled down, the reading was .070. I have not found a chart with 070 as a key choice.

My thoughts are you are still messing around with this? This is a 5 minute job and you’ve been posting for weeks? Do you work for the Government or something?

Were watching you.

Locksmiths dont have factory GM keys. In a couple more days, i will have 3 sets of GM keys for roughly twice what you gave for your 1 set of generic aftermarket keys. Now if this were a Camaro or mudstain, id be fine with aftermarket keys. But this is a Corvette. So....

What you’ll pay vs what the market brings isnt a discussion. What I find humorous is you calling a car ‘mudstain’ (Your basically ragging on the car.......its ok we all have likes and dislikes) today brings double and triple what you stick your chest out to say ‘this is a Corvette’.

I think you are creating something where there was none prior.
Where does your logic end? Clean Fiero Mera is rarer and more collectable than your fox body or my C4. Again. The my daddy is tougher than your daddy thing, is tired.
If your panties bunched over the mudstain reference ,( notice i calitalized Camaro in the initial thread) then car guys are prolly not your peeps.
But for the record, please accept my apologies for entering your safe space and hurting your feelers.
Can we get back to man to man discussions about man stuff now?
