Default Weird spark plug wire question

OK I received my plug wires and the question why in the heck is one of them long at the plug end. What did I miss? Thanks

# 8 (passenger side closest to firewall) has a straight boot if I remember correctly.

I always remember the 45% next to Dipstick Pretty much on all years including my 90 Pick up

You need to be careful with the routing and seeing that you have an '85 the FSM will still have 'cross-fire' routing shown in the images. there's several threads regarding correct routing.

Joe C it seems to me did some snapshots of the TPI routing requirements.

Goes next to dipstick. Cross 5&7 and you will be just fine

Thx I will be fixing that tomorrow but here is the link to Rock Auto for the plug wires.
They are 9.73 on closeout but I received BWD nascar performance wires 8mm.
It may be a crap shoot what you receive(14 left) but they are performing nicely so far.
BWD/NIEHOFF CH869 Premium Wire Set - Select, pretty good deal if you get the good ones I guess.
