Default 292XFI work with Eagle SIR 5.7" rods?

Comp cam work with Eagle SIR 5.7" rods on a 383 kit
does anyone know cam to rod avg clearance ?
comp calling .900 base circle as custom grind +$100. if your ordering a "custom grind"
cam then small base is no extra charge.

looks like the recommended clearance is .050 but would .030 be ok with street car?

UPDATE:
decided to go with comp 282/288 grind#CS-XR282HR-10
0.510 int/ 0.520 exh
difficult to measure but looks like .030 cam to rod clearance.

Rotating assembly is balanced. would prefer not to grind on rods.

still time to go with small base circle.

details on lift:

Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.584 in.
Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.579 in.
Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio: 0.584 int./0.579 exh.
Lobe Separation (degrees): 113
Computer-Controlled Compatible: Yes
Grind Number: 292XFI HR 13
I have no idea if they will work without checking. If you are unwilling to check and modify the rods as needed to clear why not just order the small base circle cam and eliminate the problem for sure.

those guys at comp increased the price over a hundred higher for asking for small base. Any 800 numbers are appreciated.

IDK it seems Comp Cams would be able to tell you. If it wouldn't work with stock 5.7 rods, I would look for a different cam.

I bet Comp would whether the would POSSIBLY work or not but wouldn't make a promise. Even if they tell you they will absolutely work, you would be crazy not to measure for yourself.

FWIW I have a 280XFI with 6" rods and they had to grind the rods. Normal base circle

..... Rotate the assembly and use a piece of solder between the rod and cam lobe to get an accurate dimension ... the cam and rod will deform the solder to its minimum thickness without hurting either ... typically only cylinders 1 , 2 , 5 , and 6 are the ones that get close ... I have also used a zip tie strap as a gauge ... they are easy to measure and usually around .050 thick ... if it passes through , you're good to go ! .....
