Tcc coast release speed
89 stock auto trans, 52,000 miles
I’m not sure what this is and what effect does it have if I lower or raise speed limit. I use tunerpro rt using 6E. I have done research but can’t seem to find a answer I can understand. It’s set at 32 MPH now

TCC release speed would be when the TCC would release if you coasted without ever depressing brake pedal. When brake is applied TCC disengages, which is the more common event. I doubt there is an advantage in altering it.

I believe what it means is the torque converter (TCC) lock up releases (unlocks) at 32 mph.
On my 94 it drops out at 43 mph. I realize the cars are quite different.

Mine locks at around 43 and unlocks at around 34 indicated by speedo right or wrong as that might be. If I step on the brakes it unlocks at any speed along with a downshift passing maneuver.
