I have a small clunk anytime i'm in gear at a moderate rpm's and i blip the throttle ... U-joint? I don't think i've heard the same noise from other manual tranny vettes. Would that be covered under my warranty ? :)
If a slight acceleration or decrease in speed causes a clunk, then it sounds like slop in a u-joint(s). Put the car up on jack stands (safely) and you can check it by hand underneath.

yup... but if it's covered by warranty, then I'll just take it in.

It depends on the warranty that you have. My u-joints weren't covered by mine. It should say exactly what's covered in your warranty paperwork. If not, just call them and ask 'em.
yeah .. drive shaft are easy... half shafts aren't so easy.
BTW, i'm pretty sure that I do have a U-joint out because i have a vibration at 75mph that I thought was related to a wheel out of balance, but if it's making a small clunk AND it's got a vibration, that sounds like the culprit. :yesnod:
