Default Back in w/ the LS..

$400 5.3

Corvette balancer

Always fun dropping this in by myself. :/
Today was probably the 4-5 time I’ve done it. Just swapped my balancer and threw a cam in it. Tomorrow I’ll be putting the rest back together and wrapping my fuel lines up. I’ve already tested the harness(converted truck harness) and everything is good to go besides some tuning that’ll be needed but I have HP tuners. Don't mind the wiring-I'll be wrapping it all up to make it prettier.
Just a mild build that I want to get up asap to take to the local roadcourse.
Gen III 5.3 w/
Jegs 200582 cam, LS6 intake, PAC 1218 valvesprings, LS2 timing chain, F-body oil pan, C5 exhaust manifolds, Vette accessories, relocated coils (p/s),Vette filter/regulator, Walbro 255, 4+3 w/ 621 bellhousing-sachs 1050 flywheel and a clutch bought for a 2nd gen Camaro. Will also be DBW. Not expecting it to be crazy fast-Just want something I can row through the gears with on a roadcourse.

yes. Using lt1swap.com it’s pretty straight forward. Harness and pcm are from a 2004 2500HD with the 6.0.

Gotta redo the red-came out like **** :/

Fuel lines are finally hooked up. Trying to figure out how to make the C6 air intake fit & run the catch can + pcv hoses.

Also figured out how to get the DBW pedal mounted. Pedal just needs to be shifted to the left a little.

621 bellhousing is huge! Took some massaging to get the Novak slave cyl bracket and clutch fork to clear.
Bringing this back from the dead guys!
After letting life in general get in the way I’ve recently found the motivation and time to get my C4 back up. Goal is by the end of June.
As she sits now:
Today we got the measurements done for the Novak TOB and I just put the bellhousing back on.
-Gotta call Novak Monday to get a few questions answered about the adjustable pivot ball stud and then I’ll be ready to get the tranny back in.

It still seems like there’s 100 things left to do but mainly smaller issues to wrap up.

TO DO LIST:
-install tranny (c-beam + driveshaft)
-install power steering cooler and lines
-tidy the PCM wiring (will be mounted under dash on pass side)
-alternator wiring

Has anyone used an adjustable pivot ball stud?
Heres a few pics of the Novak parts I’ll be using to run the 4+3.

Minor trimming of the plastic to get the air intake to fit.

Decent progress was made today. Powersteering lines are good and I trimmed the stock shroud to make the C6 air intake fit.
next will be getting my tranny back in +driveshaft+ c-beam adjustment.

How much trimming was necessary to tuck that C6 air intake? I can see the square cutout in the front of the radiator housing. Did you take any pics with the intake out of the way?

I'm still weighing up what i want to do. Those damn triple claw intakes are $300+

Not too much. I’ll snap a few more pics within the next few days. Also trying to decide what fan to use since the stock L98 fans are only about 1700 cfm from what I’ve read. I wanted to use a Taurus fan or ls1 fbody fans but not having a junkyard nearby dampers things.

Theres actually one nearby for $200 but I never liked the look of them and didn’t think 3 separate filters would flow that much.

Damn good looking out! I'll pm him. Does it have similar dimensions to the one he's using?

Decided to go with some ls1 f-body fans which I picked up for $45. From what I’ve read the factory c4 fans are only 1700 cfm.

4+3. Still keeping my eyes open for a t56.
about to kill this thread. Doesn’t seem to be much interest. I suppose most C4 guys are too busy posting about how to hop up the L98s and other ways of wasting money. 😳
