Hey all. So here’s a quick run down. I bought an 86 corvette that was completely trashed. Got the motor rebuilt and completed. One main problem is all the elctrical wires were already unhooked before I started so I have no way of telling what went where. I’ve gotten to the point of trying to start the car and I’m getting no fire from the distributor. I’ve come to the conclusion that maybe I’m hooking up the wrong wire to the key inition spot on the dizzy but I’m not 100% sure. Can anyone help please!!
I have attached engine wiring for an 88 but not sure if it is exactly the same. I assume you don't have the Service Manuals. Look on ebay you can buy electronic copies fairly cheap.

Using the information that CDM747 sent you will help you a lot. If you look at the last pages it tells you where each part or connection is located.
If you had a FSM they actually show a overhead of the car and locations of all connectors. You really need the Factory Service manuals to decipher the wiring in these cars.
Good Luck and be careful of that old wiring system. It is not that hard to destroy valuable components if you are not sure what goes where.
