I was wondering if anybody knew of any differences between a 1990 with Z51/Z07 and a 1991 with Z07/FX3? Does either one come with extra options that the other doesn't?
On this chart http://www.vettenet.org/susp_chart.html the Z51 shocks are rated @ 4 the Z07 shocks are a 5. What does that mean, that the Z07 are slightly stiffer? the corvette challenge options also has itentical specs to the Z07, does that mean that both cars will perform simularily or is there a lot more to the corvette challenge option? Anybody know?
:bb oops I didn't see that, thanks  Whats different about the ride adaptive shocks? Doesn't that FX3 option give me speed adaptive valving? Or is that totally different
The FX-3's in the Z51 are just like most adjustable shocks... they adjust by turning the **** and that's it. The Adaptive ones adapt on-the-fly according to their set parameters and inputs.

:nono:
Z07 was available from 1991-1995. Z07 combined RPO Z51 with RPO FX3, including the stiffer Z51 springs.
In 1990 if you ordered Z51 & FX3 together, you got all the Z51 components *except* the Z51 springs. Other Z51 components in 1990 included the 13" brakes, engine oil cooler, etc.
In 1996, Z07 was no more, replaced by Z51. FX3 was replaced by F45 Real Time Damping (RTD). F45 & Z51 could not be combined.

Ok, so then by just installing a Z51 rear spring into my car I probably mucked up it's handling? I can't tell because It's off the road now, but I assume that having a stiffer rear spring will cause my car to handle funny, with over/understeer right? oops...
