Starting Problem
Have a starting problem with my 1995 C4 coupe, LT1, automatic. When turn key to on get a click and nothing else. If turn key off and immediately back on , car starts right up. Does not happen every time but quite often. Has anyone else experienced this and have an idea what may be issue?

Yes, try the contacts cleaning first especially if you are getting intermittent (which you are) clicks. Is you battery full up?
Once you have the car going, take a swing by Auto Zone and ask them to put a meter on your charging system. A low battery or less than optinam charging system will make the relay click as well. You will have an idea in a few minutes if your charging system is up to snuff.

Everybody is correct.
Very common problem.
When you do to change out, you won't think the starter is going to come out as the space is real small. But it will as the starter is smaller than you might think.
Disconnect battery first.

Yea, space looks small. Always disconnect the battery when working on electrical. Thanks for the reply.
