Anything that goes under my bench is GONE.. I dunno what dark force disappears things there, but it's hopeless. Like a bag of holding. I think my record for a snap ring is out the door and somewhere in the middle of the parking lot! lol.
Nice pistons. I have been looking at stroker parts.
I know you're a racer, but do you know how well stroker pistons hold up on the street with that gap in the oil ring land? Special rings there? Anything you have to do out of the ordinary?
….. There is a support rail under the Oil ring to help bridge the gaps on the wrist pins … Its very hard to see in that pic … You will usually only encounter this gap when the compression height of the piston is less than 1 1/4" … it can also be avoided by stroking less than 4.00" or using shorter connecting rods like the 350's standard 5.700" rod …..
House next door might be going up for sale soon, Bob.....sure would be nice if you moved the speed shop up to Jax.
….. Jamal , the neighbor has a dog that barks loud at EVERYTHING ! … I don't complain about his dog and he doesn't complain about the 'vette … yet ! … I still run a full exhaust system , so the noise is not horrible … Its just that I'm loading up at 6-6:30 am sometimes , and if I go rounds , I'm unloading around Midnight or later … …..
….. I think I mis-understood … I THOUGHT you were referring to MY neighbor … seems you might have been talking about yours ? …..
