VATS... Maybe
If I have a chip burned with a VATS disable, should the security light still be flashing at me all the time?
I have some other issues I am dealing with that could easily explain the no start, but they could be unrelated.
I just didn't think the security light should still be flashing so I wanted to approach that angle as well.

What are the other symptoms? VATS disables starter, fuel pump, injection. It's possible you chip is not bypassing VATS. Why did you change chip?

I can't speak for all instances - but I believe that when you turn the VATS system off at the PCM level - the PCM just ignores the resisitor code issue. So - YES - it's quite possible that the security light would still be flashing - the PCM has simply been instructed not to care....

Thanks gentleman, I will focus on coil issues.
Fuel pump kicks on for a few seconds and then cuts out. Starter cranks.
I tried starting fluid with no change, telling me that fuel is not the problem, still could be A problem, but not THE problem.
I did an engine upgrade, more cubes, bigger valves, headers, bigger injectors and an HSR.
