Default Question for you LT-1 experts...........

I modified my LT-1 a while back (Comp Cam, Crane 1.6 RR, AS&M headers, AFR stage 3 heads, FastChip, ect) and ever since, I must crank out the idle screw to the point of causing the tps to read off scale. I was wondering ......if I drill a small hole in the throttle blade, that should give me enough air to close the blade, allowing the tps to be in the prescribed limits and giving the computer a better reading to work with. My question is has anyone done this and what size should I start with? Also should I drill a hole in each blade or both?
Thanks

Don't drill a hole through your TB! Something is wrong with your idle air controler valve. I had a 383 which consumed air like an atom bomb.... are you using a laptop to see your tps readings? If so, what are your idle air counts? My 383 used a lot more air at idle than the heads/cam package you listed would have.

I'll bet your IAC isn't allowing the full amount of air through and because of that you are having to open the blades up. Check the IAC.

I agree with glockLT4. I have a 383 and I have never touched the idle ajustment screw on the throttle body. the idle air valve should be checked and if you have access to some form of engine monitoring equipment I would look at idle air counts and throttle postion sensor voltage reading at idle. Also, your throttle body air passages may be partially blocked with gunk.

Take off the TB and disassemble the IAC.
