Default '85 MAF getting no power

Please I am and have been scouring the internet with no luck any help would be appreciated. I have an '85 and no power getting to the MAF. Where the MAF and Burn off relays should be is the Aux fan relay Where did they hide them???? It was running rough tried to adjust the TPS with a procedure involving the IAC, got to a point where I had to check the timing ordered a timing light and thought I was on track. The next day it barely started ran like crap threw a hard 33. Put +12 to the fuel pump relay and 0 volts at the F pin of the MAF connector. Flow chart points to the MAF relay and I can't find one. This is the configuration I have: Thank You all!

85 was a one-off year that used a special burn off module. It is located above the "breadbox" on the passenger side. You need to remove the bread box to get to it. 85 was also the only year that used the 870 ECM.

I just checked your profile and realized you're new here, if you don't know what the bread box is, it's the cushion on the passenger side of the dash that has "Corvette" engraved in it. If you were in the passenger seat looking straight forward, the burnoff module resides right behind the "Corvette" lettering.

All correct from above!

Also, if you discover you need a MAF for an 85 (like mentioned the MAF and position of relays are specific to the 85), I have a remanufactured Bosch unit for sale in good working order FS. It is in the FS section. I sold my car and had an extra unit (just in case).

Good luck and take care!

Thank you very much! Your post led me to a video on the burn off module. While I knew about the module I assumed it only contained circuitry to energize a burn off relay. Now I have to dig to see if that module also supplies MAF power. Again Thank-you you may have saved more of my hair follicles from being ripped out by the roots.

Your post led me to use some different search terms and low and behold I found a post from 2006 by AdvancedAuto CC

85 MAF = PITA

Check the "gauges" fuse... the burnoff module gets its power from there. If the module isn't getting power, obviously it won't work. The gauges fuse doesn't affect the cluster (go figure), and usually a short to ground can be found in some of the other components that get power from it, including the EGR solenoid, and AIR system.
BINGO !
