security light?
Alright, after replacing my computer, the security light comes on whenever there's an open door. What exactly is the deal with it and what does it mean? It never came on before the computer was replaced. I have replaced the battery before with the old computer and I've reset the comuter dozens of times before. What cause the light to come on and what goes on when it's on? It hasn't caused any no-starts or anything like that, i'm just curious about it because it wasn't there before.

If its flashing that means its NOT armed....if you lock the drivers side door the light should STOP flashing and be on steady...that means its armed. On mine I sometimes have to click the door lock button several times to actually arm it...flakey switch i think :blueangel:

It doesn't ever flash. It just stays on steady the whole time a door's open, and once the car's started, the light goes off. When it's all locked up, the light's off. Wierd.

Mine flashes when a door is open and no key in.
When door is closed and I walk away, light goes off, or when I put the key in and shut the door the light goes off, unless you open the hatch with no key in then it flashes.

I would think it is supposed to do that...its a reminder to set the alarm. Mine does it. You may have bumped the computer for the thief system (maybe a loose connection) its in the same spot as the ecm
