Uhhhhgggggggg! That was suposed to be a virgin block.
It is not.
With a 0 deck I am out of the hole .05 but it has pitting around #1 cylendar.
I could deck it some more and run a thicker gasket or a head spacer, but I told him to get me a new block. So that hole day of de rusting boreing and honeing is wasted and I've been on hold until he hunts up a new block.
Years ago I think CFI-EFI ran some pn down on using GM V6 roller lifters in lieu of the retro roller deal cant remember the specifics, sounds like you already got one though. It was a cheap conversion.
Being as the cam isnt too nuts have you considered using some non roller 1.6 rocker arms? They are dirt cheap doubt youre giving up much if any power wihtout the roller wheel on it.
May be able to get away with roller tips as long as your spring pressures arent sky high. Those are cheap too.
