We stripped out all of the factory wiring on our champ vette. Way too much going on and I feel reliability can be an issue. We did the z07 springs and it still sits alittle too high. I’m working on a solution for that.

If you heat the panel with a heat gun, the epoxy releases quite nicely.

1KHP, Assuming you've removed the spring pads and it's still high, you could re-mount the spring so it's UNDER the LCA's, then run a bolt through them, sort of similar to the rear.

What solution are you working on?... tell us more.

I assume you at least cut down the spring pads, both in the middle and at LCAs

I was worried about doing that and having a spring issue endurance racing.

I think I have a corvette challenge spring tracked down. They had no rubber on the ends at all and a thin stainless corver over the ends to keep them from wearing.

Seems I’m a bit overdue for an update - here is 2021 progress in a nutshell:

Roll cage:

All except the door bars and dash bar are fabricated and welded into the car. Dash bar is fabricated it needs welded. Fiberglass body panel over the top reinstalled.

Suspension:

Every bushing has been removed and replaced with new poly

Other:

The top has been adapted to bolt down a different way in the front. The top main hoop blocked the factory mounting locations.

The fuel lines from the tank to the engine compartment have been replaced. This was quite a job as you may know – to get the stock lines in the tank had to come out which means the rear subframe had to come out.

The stock dash is out – it weighs about 4 lbs with nothing on it.

New rotors and Carbotech pads got installed.

The new radiator has been fitted to the radiator shroud.

Put a fair amount of time into the car but had a lot of other priorities. I don’t know when it’ll get done but expect to make more progress in 2022.

Up next will be getting the trans and oil coolers installed into the shroud, and fabricating the dash
