Earlier in the thread it was mentioned about mounting the ICM to a plate before moving it. With that thought in mind, you can purchase additional heatsinks, from places such as this:

or places like computer stores

and add them to the aluminum plate, making it much more effective.

this is a mod I am actually going to look into

that heatsink on the oem part is actually not big. I have bigger heatsinks on some of my video cards and I am not a gamer. the fins add surface area to radiate heat from.

if there is room, fabricating a 1/2 to 3/4 in spacer to go in between the unit and the head and then adding finned heat sinks to the sides of such would really increase the surface area for heat dispersal.

milling fins into the block would even be better

there are also different grades of thermal paste. some formulated with silver for increased efficiency

I started using the better grades when I was building computers for people and the processor speeds were getting faster, hence more heat generated
