Default Help!!!!!!!

My 1990 L98 Vette stopped running.

The Ignition coil does not have any spark. I replaced the coil, and the module in the distributor; but still no spark. The car uses a FAST XFI 2.0 ECU. I plugged my laptop into the ECU but did not see any error codes.Any suggestions on what may be the trouble.

Thanks

Steve

Power at the distributor, does the xfi see the car cranking? What runs the coil, a cdi box or is it a factory distributor converted for use with the xfi?

Are you using the xfi to control timing or is the HEI controlling the timing with an older non computer controlled distributor?

Hi Bjankuski;
  • · Power at the distributor, There is power at the coil.
  • · Does the xfi see the car cranking? I haven’t traced this yet.
  • · What runs the coil, a cdi box or is it a factory distributor converted for use with the xfi? I am using a 1990 Camaro type distributor, with a small cap, remote coil. No CGI box.
  • · Are you using the xfi to control timing or is the HEI controlling the timing with an older non computer controlled distributor? The XFI is controlling the timing.

Look at this wiring schematic, it shows you how to wire the XFI, make sure the wires are connected and then make sure your pickup coil in the distributer is working.
