Default 90-93 Lateral Acceleration Sensor

Has anyone rebuilt a Bosch Lateral Acceleration Sensor. Can you provide any help, tips, photos, etc. for a new person to this since no new parts exist.

Thanks
Joel

Have you tried asking Bosch? I found that many of the components that they made for our cars when they were new were used on other vehicles in other countries around the world. They have help lines you can call or write for help.

If you have the Bosch part number it would help you even more. Bosch did not only make those parts for Corvettes, they supply a bunch of European car makers with the same equipment. I was looking for parts for my 1988 ABS unit built by Bosch when I learned that this system was used elsewhere by other manufacturers. Parts are still available in some places they told me when I spoke to a Bosch rep on the phone.

I found my Lateral Acceleration Sensor swinging by its wiring harness. After re-mounting it everything works like it is supposed to. If I am not mistaken the LAS is not a very complicated part but was designed to be "replaced" instead of "fixed and calibrated again". Have you tried finding one here on the forum's "Parts For Sale" Site?

I wish you the very best in finding one as they are "out there"!
Good luck!
Chris
