Cross fire fuel injection system

Cross fire fuel injection system
Hello this is my first time well on any form, I bought a C4 and it’s had the crossfire fuel injection removed and it have a carburetor on it. The air filter doesn’t fit under the stock hood and has wiring laid to the side, I’m not sure what my best option is, I’d wish it can with the original crossfire fuel injection system and intake but it was still a good deal. What do you guys think?

Keep the carb and find an air cleaner that will fit. There are a lot of choices. Check Summit Racing or Jegs. Get a service manual to help figure out the wiring and then go have fun driving it.

Plenty of drop base air cleaners out there to choose from.

It has a edelbrock 1002 it’s pretty low and smashed in on top but still hits
but I am thinking of trying a spectre
Im not sure the high difference tho, the wiring is ok it runs and has no problems driving just being particular about setup

Your stock engine has already been customized. You could consider a different custom hood or air scoop creating a new look for clearance.

What intake was used in the conversion? I have a carbed 84 with a zz4 intake and a a 2" filter works okay. I later installed a hood scoop due to me using a 1/2 " carb spacer and to let some fresh air in to combat fuel percolation. I use a 3" filter now. I had a similar spectre air cleaner like the one shown and it was way too restrictive. I suspect your intake and or any carb spacer used may be causing your clearance problem. Try to use a plastic or wood spacer.....you will need one!
