Default Break lights

All of my lights work except breaks. I pulled the switch and messed with it nothing. I took the switch apart and it is so simple I don't know how it could be defective. I cleaned up the contacts and observed how it works. I still don't have break lights.
Can someone tell me what the other switched mounted in the same place is for.

If you have cruise control, the second switch is for that.

Did you check for power at the switch?

If you jumper the connector (with it disconnected from the switch), do the brake lights work?

Keep in mind that the brake light circuit also goes through the turn signal switch.

If the Hazards don't work either check the Stop/Hazard fuse.

Those lights should work even with all other lights and ign. Off.

If hazard lights and turn signals work, then it's definitely the switch at the brake pedal or the wiring to that switch. Jumpering the switch didn't light the brake lights? Are you sure you're on the right switch? Maybe try jumper on the other switch.
