I would and have used them in 350-400HP builds.... Nearly 500HP is forged piston territory IMO....
I tend not to push the limits of what amounts to stock replacement parts.... I don't like to see my stuff blow up and as has been said, when hypers let go it's usually total destruction.

475HP(flywheel) I'm assuming the output after a LE2 build. I've opened pandora's box with this build ("while you're at it, why not____"). Can I just do pistons? Or do I have to do the rest, (ie: connect rods, rotating assembly, etc)...at the end of the day I'll let the machine shop tell me what they think of the block/internals

Yes, you can just change the pistons. Weight will be slightly different but since they are all the same it wouldn't be a big deal if you don't re-balance the factory crank depending on how far over or under it is... If the new pistons/rings/pins were within 30 grams of the stock stuff, honestly it'd as close as GM was when originally setting up the LTX bob weights.
You just need a machine shop to press the factory pistons off and the new ones on to the rods.
