1990 L98. Hi, I just cleaned out my EGR(fun job!) And now ive got a higher rev going on. Eating more fuel and seems like a sticky throttle cable. Ant ideas. Throttle cable doesnt seem to be restricted in any way

Since you have had the intake apart, first order of business is a check of manifold vac., IMO.
Did you use any kind of cleaner on the intake?

Simce I put it all back together its falling into gear hard sometimes. I suspect the high idle has all to do with that. I took upper plenum off ith throttle cables still attached
Did I miss something putting ot back together

Also having problems with it changing gears at proper revs. Could this all be due to egr still?

Did you connect the large vacuum line under the plenum and small one under the TB?
You may have stretched/misadjusted the kickdown cable. Try resetting it per the FSM.

Also, would this cause engine to run hotter than normal?

No, that is not related. Check your radiator for debris/plastic bags or other junk in the radiator.
How hot is hotter than normal?
