Lash caps on the LPE 113 heads with 1.6:1 RR's.

Thats like saying piston rings will wear out if you drive it too much.

you either broke it or you didnt. And it sounds like you didnt.
eh.. A small crack in a rod can window the block two weeks from now .

Or a valve spring that has lost it's tension from an overrev can cause valve float the next race and cause piston to valve contact destroying a motor.

To be fair, i did put a new top end on it at some point.

but otherwise ran those same springs for another 30k on that 350 rwhp hotcam combo (what i had at time of over rev)

Power shifting a 4+3 or even a ZF box for 3 years and I'm guessing this 4+3 has been rebuilt a few times? I only ask because my impression of a power shift is straight gorilla arming the shifter into the next gear without a clutch pedal. I have heard this was how John Heinricy was able to get a 2002 Z06 to 60 mph in 3.9 for the marketing. With the T10 gearbox I guess the replacement parts would be cheap enough where it may be worthwhile..

Still sending it.

Its smoking quite a bit now on startup, but other than that it seems just as strong as before.

I took it to 1/8mi no-prep last night and it ran great - just no traction available.

We will see how long it lives.
