Does anyone have a source for the sensor that comes out the back of the AC hose on the back of the compressor near the driver side valve cover on an 84? I have looked everywhere and can only find used ones. The gm part number is 10007052. Mine is missing for some reason due to the previous owner and I am trying to get the AC going again.
FYI, that is a "high pressure safety sensor", and your a/c will work without that sensor, although that shouldn't be a permanent situation. That is a NC (normally closed) switch that is closed at all times, except when the pressure in the system exceeds about 400 psi. That is a delicate switch, and that is why I traded positions of my valve covers, to move my oil filler to the drivers side on my '84.
