The worst of that chip is right on the edge of the area where the gears will mesh..... Only way I'd use that is if the engine had an external oil pump that didn't need the cam drive gear.
Even then it's ground on a SADI core.... So I wouldn't use it in one of my engines at all.

"SADI core" ? Please educate me. What is "SADI", and why is it junk?
Selectively Austempered Ductile Iron (SADI).
The problem is that it's cheap ****. The only reason SADI cores are used for hyd rollers is because cam companies can make more profit on them vs a quality billet steel core...... On SADI the real hardening is only the surface layer which can get pretty hard but the core material is still Cast Iron which is very brittle and well not very hard..... now roller lifters use billet steel wheels.... which are harder than the SADI cam lobes and under certain load conditions they will crack the surface layer and eat everything up....
The only people that will advocate using them is cam grinders that sell them.
People get away with using them on mild roller lobes but I've seen too many SADI roller failures come in the shop to put my reputation at risk. The price difference on a custom cam really isn't that much.
