Been looking for a new corvette Lt-1 ( Not Lt-5 ) 2 wire A/C pressure switch can't seem to find one . I have a new 3-wire A/C pressure switch .. Anybody know were to find one . The so-called Corvette parts stores don't know if they have a 2-wire or 3-wire switch .. Thanks ..
The cycling switch is a 2 wire switch and is mounted on the pipe coming out of the evaporator right on top. It can be found everywhere at any part store or EBay.
The 3 wire unit is not a switch. It is a high side pressure sensor mounted on the high side smaller pipe. It sends out a voltage proportional to the pressure and is sent to the ECM for monitoring. Not a common part to be replaced and easy to check to see if it is working.
Why do you think you need a 2 wire cycling switch?
Santech MT0205 or 36659
Not really sure what I need I have replaced everything else and the compressor just will not come on ?? I tried NAPA got a new switch from them would not fit my line and Auto-Zone same deal just won't fit my line it's factory 93 R12 line . All were aftermarket , I need a real deal A/C Delco one might fit .. or the A/C Delco part number .. Thanks ..
With my 93 I just about pulled my hair out with getting my A.C. Running and I had the bonus problems of De-Pr-onwnering the system, he did so real bad stuff to make work but it left a.c. On any time the cabin fan was on which would burn out a.c. Clutch pack because the system couldn't cycle. After getting car back to GM design it didn't work but now it was flow chart worthy.
The flow chart brought me open to circuit between ECM and Compressor, Replaced switches didn't work. The open in Circuit turned out to be the Control module under the dash by Brake peddle, when I removed it and looked at it had a nasty corrosion inside probably over a crack on board. Installed replacement module (hard to find part) luckily I found one with not too much problem, system ran.

Thanks ,after I replace the switch witch is the last thing on the list I have to replace or have not replaced . I see if that works , if not the head and the controller both going to Batee.com for check and if needed rebuild .. I called the guy said sounds like the controller to him .. It worked fine ice cold air it was just leaking so I replaced the entire system under the hood ( was all ORG. ) R12 stuff with new stuff now won't come on . Corvettes got to love them ..NOT .. Thanks ..
Keep trying to find, a walk through a junkyard may get you what you need under the hood there are lot's of shared parts in other cars, I found Buick Roadmasters are good source to match up parts.
Thanks . I tell other people that want me to look for used parts that I have used parts looking for some new stuff.. If wanted something easy to work on I would be a Mustang guy . LOL. Nothing that money and 500 more phone call won't fix .. Thanks ,back on the phone ..

WOW -- brain freeze for me. Forgot you had a 93 with R12. The cycling switches are different than the 134 switches. So dis-regard my part numbers they are for R134 systems.
Sorry about that.

Well that's not the first time I heard that the R-12 and the 134 might be a little different as far as the pressure goes then read is no big deal ??? I don't know .I have replaced all under the hood with al new stuff all 134A and the compressor is a 134A and went back with 134A not sure what it had it but al the A/C parts were from 93 and about worn out so I got a switch coming from Zip will see if that helps if not ELE. parts going to the rebuilder .. Thanks .. The rebuilder said sounds like the controller went bad said they will go over night no warning . I'll guess I'll find out ..
Yes I have all new A/C parts installed under the hood and the compressor will not come one jumps the A/C relay .. Grounding the GRN/ WHT wire to the relay it comes on .. ????
Where did you buy “all new parts” fo your ac system? I have a 92 that needs converted and would like to start with all new parts. It’s hot where I live! Any advice or additional info is appreciated. I’m pretty sure half the ac junk is 134 from a later model and half is original from the 92. It’s kind of a mess......
https://www.discountacparts.com/ Might be some others but these guys seem to have some good deals .. The parts I got from them work great , having some more troubles but not with the parts I got from these guys .. Make sure you get a 134a compressor and all other stuff oil ECT. is also 134A..
