Default c4 ls swap

I am wanting to Ls swap my 1985 corvette, and I'm not really sure what I need to do
http://www.brphotrods.com/products/8...tte/index.html
I found this kit online and I'm not sure what LS engine I could use for it.
I also don't know what transmission set up I will need, I have the 700r 4 trans but I don't know if the corvette can take the other trans like the t-56 or the 4L60E or 4L70E.
can someone help me understand this or link me to a person who's did something like this before?
Thank you!

Not being an a**, but you need to spend some time reading, a lot of time. You need to educate yourself on the car first, transmission, rear differential etc. Then start researching what each of those transmissions you mentioned are. Then the LS motors. Once you understand those (you don't have to know how to take them apart) just what they are so that if someone tells you something, at least you will have a basic understanding,

Such as a 4L60E is an electronically controlled transmission.

Such as your car is an automatic trans, what does it take to swap in a manual trans such as the T-56 you mentioned above.

There are books on LS engine swapping. There are threads here on swapping. Google is your friend and knowledge (even basic knowledge) is the key to understanding what is involved with this.

You could start with using the forum Search Engine and looking for LS swap

stick this into Google, it will limit the search results to those on the forum here

Do a search for the names pwnage1337 and Mike Holmen. I feel sure there are others, but these 2 have actually completed swaps that are running. Both seem to be knowledgeable and willing to help

Great advice by 93 ragtop. There are quite a few detailed threads on this forum about LS swaps.

One thing to note, if you want to do an engine and trans swap, and do a nice job of it. It will get expensive.

As far as BRP muscle rods goes I have no personal experience with them but if you search various forums they seem to have a bad reputation. As a result I got my LS swap headers from melarose which are suppose to fit perfectly. Tons of places make LS swap engine mount plates.

Also if you aren't in too much of a hurry I am almost done collecting parts for my swap, which will be starting soon. I will be posting a thread about the swap once things get going. Should be starting in the next 2 or 3 weeks once I get the last of my parts ordered/delivered.

I am willing to help if you have questions!

I built a 6.0 iron block bored .030 with an LS3 top end on it. (heads and intake)

This thing moves out pretty good I am very happy with the results. My neighbors don't think 7000 rpm sounds nearly as cool as I do, but I'm from the country and I like it that way

Ok, I did do some research to about the swap beforehand, and I know the 600 is electronically controlled, but i didn't know that the t-56 was a manual, Thank you!
