1985 corvette speedometer jumping mph ground issue?
Recently my 85 started having an issue where the speedo is jumping to an increased mph driving down the road. It also does it idling at a stand still it will jump from 0 to a random number and back. All of the other gauges are reading fine. I looked under the car and unplugged the vss sensor on the tail shaft on the trans and it looked fine. I did recently remove the valve covers and don’t think I distrubed any wiring but The issue did start after that. So I’m wondering if I moved a ground or something. Any thoughts?
