Getting ready to replace my starter and at first look seems like there is a few roadblocks. Any direction or tricks would be awesome. Seems to be a path going forward?
I replaced the starter in my 95 coupe a few years ago. It is a straightforward process but pay attention to any shims that may be installed and where they are placed. I recall there being one or two shims when I did mine. Other than that the new unit solved my dead spot when starting!
Curious, what is wrong with the starter?
Mine would start sometimes and others do nothing. But it was just the contacts in the solenoid. $15 kit and a half yours work and it was as good as new.
As others have said, Lt1 starters are pretty easy to change.
