Does any one have the schematic or know where I could get the schematic of the wiring for a 1987 steering column? Any help would be appreciated.
Inside an '87 column if stock there would only be directional harness, horn brush to ground and the VATS wire from the cylinder. What do you have issues with?
Doing a resto mod and i’m using that column. I have the clips that go into both terminals on the column but not sure where the wires go to ? Thanks
So you're actually only interested in the ignition switch (2 connectors) and the dimmer switch connector and then the directional switch harness that runs down the inside? These are the 2 ignition connectors. Do you just need wiring for those? Bottom would be the H/L dimmer and the middle the flats for directional, stop etc.
You mentioned having both - we're now @ 6 potential.
I can't image anyone doing a 'resto-mod' wanting to use cruise activation from a C4 column. It's only one more electrical connector though!. Here's a cruise connector. You have connectors and just need wire ID'd or WHAT?
Very dependent upon who you choose to do harness fabrication for your 'project' BUT most would be familiar with the 'pin-out' of those connectors and pin arrangement. DIY is certainly possible but very dependent upon ones abilities. Empty connectors are still available for most/all of these.
