D44 gear change
I have 2 questions
1 What is the maximum gear ratio that fits 3.07 case without spacer or thick gear?
2 Can a A4 car run a M6 gear ratio (3.45 or 3.54) and not end up in SCCA SM or some other uncompetitive class?

Can't help you with the SCCA class question BUT a C4 D44 carrier can accept any ratio 'correct' for the Super 44. 3.07 carrier is the same as 3.33, 3.45, 3.54 (non OE 3.73 & 4.10) also. There's NOT 'thin/thick' for the Super 44 Vette/Viper!
