Hi all, I was wondering if you guys knew how I could fix my TPS problem. It’s throwing code 22 and I have replaced my sensor once. And the previous owner had replaced it before I got it as well. Which was roughly a year ago. The new sensor has been in for about 6-8 months. How can I find out the source of my problem? Wires and tps looks good visually. (Car is a 1987 Corvette). Thanks!

i had a friend help me do it and I don’t recall him doing that. How do I do that?
You need volt meter. Then put it in the back of the plug wile still plugged in . The top two wires . Turn key on but don't start and lose bolts and move till you get .54 volts it's really easy
I was sticking pins into the top 2 wires but since broke down and bought wire piercing tool. Makes it a bit easier to do.
.54-.56 probably ok for computer.
Good Luck

should I be sticking it into the plug connector or the actual tps prongs?
Thank you for the information . I know the procedure and I applied it. However, the voltage varies slightly depending on the motor temperature. Is the sensor bad? Thanks
I always do it hot, just check it by turning it up and the volts will should go up. Mine was really bad as I was tightening it the volts were bouncing all over. With a new one tightening did not affect volts.
Yes, I put it in cold condition over pins. Then the engine warmed up and the value changed to 0.64 . With a warm engine, the measurement was 0.54, followed by 0.58 after measurement.
I'll try a better setup
