I have a brand new edelbrock cam 2102 laying around in box will this work with my stock crossfire for a upgrade?

The stock camshaft is 202/206 @.050. Your call if the upgrade is worth while. I did a 206/212 from comp and aside from the extra bit of lift it really didn't change much from stock. Sounded better though. Thats about it.

That's a 204/214 @ .050" cam with relatively small lift. On a stock motor, I wouldn't bother. You would need to do some other work like do something with the manifold to help the motor breath more, the cam will not really do much. While your at it, replace the heads as well if possible depending on your state emissions regulations. Also, if you are going to continue to use the stock ECM, you can not stray too far from the stock duration or you will have issues with idle. Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks for the reply’s. I’m leaning towards keeping the crossfire the way it is rather then gutting it. Plan is the renegade so the Ports can breath better. What heads do you guys recommend For the crossfire when I get the renegade manifold done?

Just out of curiosity, where are you going to get the Renegade from? I still do not have the tooling back from the pattern maker yet because of this virus stuff and they are NOT being made anymore.

OK, I'm just gonna throw this out there... EMS had five units that they said were done when we picked up the tooling since they couldn't machine them worth a *&%@! If you do order one, ensure you go through Summit just in case it is badly machined. At least they have a great rep in customer service and will help you with that vs. going through EMS...I wouldn't do it IMO.

This whole machining issue is why we decided to pull out tooling. Once this virus stuff goes away, I can get back to seeing if I can produce them again with the original foundry for the pours and our original machinist which we never had an issue with. The machinist is ready, it's the foundry that may become an issue for me. Good luck which ever way you decide to go. If you want to talk about this, PM me and I will give you my number.
