Default Keyless Remote programming

Bought my wife a 96 Coupe a few months ago, ( T's Vette ) and the car didn't come with any passive remotes. I purchased a remote off of Ebay and now I need the programming instructions.
Could someone email me or post the programming instructions?? :)
Thanks,
Dan

Here's what the owner's manual says:

1: Move all transmitters out of range (more than 10 ft away from the car).
2: Turn ignition to "on" position".
3: Push "TRIP ODO" twice, then within 5 seconds,
4: Push and hold "FUEL INFO" until the "PASSIVE KEYLESS ENTRY" light comes on.
5: Turn the ignition one click counterclockwise to "OFF", but do not remove the key. The "PASSIVE KEYLESS ENTRY" light should blink, indicating that the system is in program mode.
6: Bring the transmitter into range. The "PASSIVE KEYLESS ENTRY" light will stop flashing and stay on to indicate that the code has been stored.
7: Move the transmitter out of range. The "PASSIVE KEYLESS ENTRY" should start flashing again.
8: Repeat steps 6 & 7 with each additional transmitter.

Steve

Thanks for the info Steve. It worked like a charm, after I installed a new battery.
Couple of things I still have to figure out.
1) The passive feature doesn't seem to work. :( (maybe this is a good thing )

2) When I use the remote to unlock the car, the driver's door doesn't unlock. (I hear a small noise in the door, but it doesn't unlock) Using the power lock switch inside the car works both doors perfectly.

Any ideas??

If you have an owners manual, you might just try various modes. Like turning the passive mode on then turning it off again. You can set it to open one door or to open both doors also. If it was me I would go thru each mode and try each variable out. Since you car didn't have one when you bought it, it may have been a long time since it has been used. So it just may need a little coaxing to 'remember' what it was supposed to do. If you don't have the owners manual, I will get mine and print out the instructions later...just let me know.

I looked it up in the Owners Manual and followed the procedure. I know, I know,,,, when all else fails,, read the directions.
It now works perfectly.

Thanks to all for the help.
