Hi there people
Helping a mate with C4 l98 Corvette but he imported into Australia the vehicle will not start my mate has already replaced The Injectors fuel pump clean the fuel system because of your head turn to sludge we also have second hand map sensor a new aftermarket dfi module and a second hand ECU and memcal I have discovered that the ground side of the injector Circuit is staying in ground there for flooding the engine disconnect all 8 injectors and the thing runs for a little bit with the amount of fuel it is dumping into the cylinders need information on what controls the ground side of the injector Circuit or if anyone has come across this problem
The injectors are switched from the ECM. You said MAP sensor what year is the car? Where are you located? Do you have a FSM it’s pretty well essential for working on one of these?

There are some forum members in Australia, possibly one will reach out. Camaro / TranAm owners maybe helpful. You need factory service manuals and parts manuals if possible. CDs and a printer could work well. ECM is under passenger side of dash. Unplug ECM see if ground goes away. If so ECM. If not, look for chafed or pinched wire or harness. Aftermarket added accessory tied in to ECM (wrong )wires.

With my '88 there are two injector ports on the ECM, one for each bank of injectors.
The ECM "fires" the injectors by grounding the injector low side, the other side of the injector is connected to +12vdc through Inj 1fuse and Inj 2 fuse.
If your ECM is constantly grounding both banks of injectors, sounds like a bad ECM.
Hi Greg
Where in OZ are you located i'm in Victoria, there are corvette clubs in all states and there are plenty that will offer assistance.
To me it sounds like a ECM fault, the ecm grounds the injectors via pulse width and should not be grounded all the time.
Make sure the wiring is ok not jammed or grounded anywhere, don't forget to check the fuel pressure regulator.
The fuel pressure regulator diaphragm can tear sending fuel into the intake via the vacuum hose and fill the sump.
Please advise the year of the corvette?
The injectors are batch fired one side and the other, are both sides shorted to ground?
Good luck should be fairly simple.
